This Privacy Policy describes how Kitto FAMILYTECH collects, uses and protects your information when you use the Kitto mobile and web application.
1. About Kitto
Kitto is a FAMILYTECH platform designed primarily for parents and legal guardians to organise school announcements, important dates, payments and to-dos, and to plan family life.

3. Information We Collect
We collect: parent/guardian name; email address; user/account ID; child profile information voluntarily entered by the parent or legal guardian; family plan and calendar entries; saved preferences; if you turn on notifications, a push token for your device and the app language; and user-provided content, including content submitted to AI-powered features (such as exported chat files, assistant messages and homework/material photos).
4. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for account creation and authentication, app functionality, child profile management, family plans and calendar reminders (including push notifications you have allowed), personalization, saved preferences, AI-powered functionality, and security and support.
5. AI-Powered Features
User-provided information may be processed to generate requested AI responses and recommendations. AI output is for informational and planning purposes only and is not professional medical, legal, psychological or educational advice.
6. Children's Privacy
Child profiles are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. Child data is not sold and is not used for behavioral advertising.
7. Third-Party Service Providers
Trusted infrastructure, database and authentication, AI and hosting providers may process limited information as necessary to provide Kitto. Push notifications are delivered through Expo's push service and Apple or Google, which receive only the device token and the notification text.
8. Data Sharing
Kitto does not sell personal data or share it with data brokers. With family sharing, a parent you invite can see and edit the child profiles and family plans once they accept the invite with the invited email address; Oi chats and files uploaded to Kitto Find stay private to the person who created them. Family members can be removed, and members can leave, at any time.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Data is retained only as necessary to provide the service and to meet legal obligations. Users can initiate account deletion from within the app, and associated personal data will be deleted or anonymized subject to legal retention requirements. In a shared family, the shared child profiles and family plans remain available to the other parent; only the deleting user's own data is removed.
10. User Rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, request information about processing, and withdraw consent where applicable. These rights are available under applicable privacy and data protection law, including the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK).
11. Location
Kitto uses your device location only when you tap "Use my current location" in Oi, and only after you give permission. Your phone's built-in map service (Apple or Google) turns the location into a province and district; the coordinates are not stored or sent to Kitto. The province, district and distance you choose are kept only on your phone and are sent with your Oi questions so that suggestions fit your area. You can revoke location permission at any time from your device settings, or enter the province and district yourself.
12. Tracking and Advertising
The current Kitto MVP does not perform cross-app tracking for targeted advertising, does not use third-party behavioral advertising, and does not sell personal data to data brokers.
13. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including authentication controls, database access rules and encrypted connections.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the version date at the top of this page.
